Bernie, The DNC, And Your Shopping Cart
For a long time now, I've held the view that the DNC would rather lose the presidential election than choose Bernie Sanders as their Democratic nominee for the presidential election. Everything that's happened in the last few months supports that view; the attack on Bernie Sanders by Warren, the willful lack of Bernie coverage on networks that ostensibly frame themselves as being the 'liberal/democratic' counters to Fox News, and the latest attack on Sanders by the supervillain otherwise referred to as "Hillary Clinton."
The 'Democrats,' just like the Republicans, only want candidates who won't mess with the lobbies, who won't reform a healthcare system that drains the lifeblood of Americans, who won't support an educational system unless it leaves students in eternal wealth-destroying debt, and who won't touch a war machine that makes murderers out of American youth and corpses out of brown people all over the globe.
Anybody who gets in the way of all that will NEVER be supported by the DNC.
I only wish Bernie was as radical a politician as Mike Gravel (don't be lazy, look him up), and was willing to torpedo the DNC and run as an independent (even though all the supposedly liberal media and even people like John Oliver, Colbert, and others would skewer him for it) or as the nominee for the Socialist Party. Still, he's already shown his cards last time. He's bought into the crippling (totally NOT-revolutionary) notion that to do so would 'scatter' the votes and that the only way to remove Trump from office is to back whatever evil (Hillary, Biden, etc.) the DNC puts in your shopping cart.
So it goes.

1917
1917 is a damn good movie. By focusing on a microcosm, a tiny slice of story within what was otherwise a ‘world’ war, it creates incredible cinema. The cinematography by Roger Deakins is fantastic.…
