Idiot-Splaining

It's the height of intellectual laziness to accuse any man who has anything to say about women or gender relations of 'mansplaining'.

It's not clever. It betrays a complete inability to actually tackle or reply to whatever arguments are being made. It is, if you haven't noticed, a form of ad hominem attack, the cheapest rhetorical device on the planet, where rather than attack an argument, you attack the person making it, and in this case, since it is based solely on their gender, it is also absolutely sexist.

If men did the same thing and accused all women who discuss anything related to men of 'womansplaining', then it would, essentially, make it impossible for both genders to ever discuss one another with each other, and the discussion of gender issues would essentially become taboo.
